The Rooftop at Pier 17 will transform into a year-round concert venue with the addition of a custom glass enclosure, set to debut in late 2025. This innovative design will preserve the venue's signature views of Manhattan's skyline and Brooklyn Bridge while providing climate-controlled comfort during winter months.

Key features of the winter configuration include:

  • Floor-to-ceiling glass walls
  • 3,000-person capacity
  • New VIP balcony level
  • Climate-controlled environment

During summer months, the glass structure will be removed to restore the open-air format, accommodating up to 3,500 guests. This conversion will enable approximately 25 additional performances during late fall and winter, expanding upon the current schedule of 60+ concerts held between May and October.

Live Nation will continue as the exclusive booking partner through a five-year extension agreement with Seaport Entertainment Group. The partnership aims to enhance the venue's reputation as a premier New York City concert destination, offering an intimate atmosphere and spectacular views year-round.

The venue will maintain its position five stories above the East River, combining urban sophistication with state-of-the-art performance capabilities regardless of season. This expansion represents a significant evolution for The Rooftop at Pier 17, establishing it as a versatile, all-weather entertainment destination in the heart of New York City.
