Georgia's Gateway Center Arena has canceled two scheduled Bassnectar shows following public backlash over ongoing sexual assault allegations against the EDM producer.

The shows, originally planned for April 26 and 27, were canceled after the venue conducted an internal evaluation of the situation. The Gateway Center Arena emphasized that community safety and well-being were paramount in their decision-making process.

Lorin Ashton (Bassnectar) faces a lawsuit filed in April 2021 by two women, alleging sexual abuse of minors, human trafficking, and child pornography. Two additional women later joined the lawsuit, though one withdrew when required to reveal her legal name. The case is currently in discovery, with a trial scheduled for February 2025.

Ashton's legal team maintains his innocence, stating he has never been found liable or charged with any crimes. They characterized the venue's decision as "mob-driven" and an example of "cancel culture gone mad."

This isn't the first cancellation Bassnectar has faced - similar shows were canceled at Harrah's Cherokee Center in Asheville, North Carolina in October. However, the artist has successfully performed sold-out shows in Las Vegas and New York City during his recent comeback tour.
