Live Nation and Madonna face a new class-action lawsuit in Washington, D.C., alleging multiple breaches of consumer trust during the Celebration Tour concerts on December 18th and 19th.

The lawsuit's key complaints include:

  • Shows starting at 10:30 PM despite 8:30 PM scheduled start times
  • Alleged lip-synching during performances
  • Uncomfortable venue temperatures
  • Transportation difficulties due to late end times

One plaintiff reportedly paid $992.76 for two tickets. The lawsuit claims these issues constitute breach of contract, false advertising, and deceptive trade practices.

The plaintiffs, who include a clinical psychologist, executive assistant, and schoolteacher, faced challenges with limited public transportation and increased transportation costs due to the late finish times.

Live Nation has already moved to dismiss a similar lawsuit filed in New York. While Ticketmaster's arbitration clause might affect some claims, at least one plaintiff purchased tickets through StubHub, potentially circumventing this defense.
