Taylor Swift is currently signed to Republic Records, a division of Universal Music Group (UMG), after signing with them in November 2018. This marked a significant change in her career, as she had previously been with Big Machine Records since the beginning of her professional music journey.

Her relationship with Republic Records began after her contract with Big Machine Records expired. The move to Republic Records gave Swift something she had long sought: ownership of her master recordings for all new music created under the label.

Before Republic Records, Swift's recording career started with Big Machine Records in 2005, where she released her first six studio albums. However, her relationship with Big Machine became complicated after the label was sold to Scooter Braun's company in 2019, leading to a highly publicized dispute over the ownership of her master recordings.

Under Republic Records, Swift has released several successful albums: - "Lover" (2019) - "folklore" (2020) - "evermore" (2020) - "Fearless (Taylor's Version)" (2021) - "Red (Taylor's Version)" (2021) - "Midnights" (2022) - "Speak Now (Taylor's Version)" (2023) - "1989 (Taylor's Version)" (2023)

The deal with Republic Records also allows Swift to maintain ownership of her master recordings, giving her complete control over her music. This arrangement has proven successful for both parties, with Swift breaking multiple records and achieving unprecedented commercial success under the label.

Through Republic Records, Swift has also embarked on her record-breaking Eras Tour and continued her project of re-recording her earlier albums, known as "Taylor's Version," to regain control of her musical catalog.
