Blue Note Jazz Club expands its iconic jazz presence to Los Angeles in 2024, opening a new venue in Hollywood featuring dual performance spaces with 200 and 100-person capacities, plus a full-service restaurant.

Grammy-winning artist Robert Glasper will curate events at the new location, expanding upon his successful Robtober residency. "I'm honored to partner up with Blue Note once again for what will be a significant cultural intersection for the Los Angeles community," Glasper stated.

The expansion includes a landmark partnership with the Hollywood Bowl Jazz Festival, which will be rebranded as the Blue Note Jazz Festival. The festival, originally launched as the Playboy Jazz Festival in 1979, will debut under its new name on June 14 at the Hollywood Bowl. The full lineup will be announced February 18, with tickets available in May.

LA Phil's president Kim Noltemy expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating it "represents a shared dedication to celebrating jazz and its extraordinary artists while continuing the legacy of world-class music at the Bowl."

This expansion adds to Blue Note's global presence, which includes venues in Hawaii, Tokyo, Italy, China, Brazil, and Napa. The Napa edition of the Blue Note Jazz Festival, launched in 2022, successfully blends jazz with R&B and hip-hop, featuring performers like Mary J. Blige, Chance the Rapper, Maxwell, and Nas.
