Round Hill and Zync Music Finally Settle Legal Dispute After Joint Venture Fallout
Round Hill and Zync Music have officially ended their legal dispute, which centered on a joint venture agreement from 2017. The conflict began when Zync sold certain assets to Round Hill's second royalty fund and entered into a joint tenancy agreement where Zync would manage daily operations while Round Hill provided funding and infrastructure.

The partnership encountered immediate difficulties, with Zync alleging bullying by Round Hill – claims which Round Hill denied. The situation escalated when the contract's buyout clause activated, requiring Round Hill to purchase Zync's remaining assets at a third-party-determined value.
Disagreements over the valuation led to legal action. In November 2024, the judge ordered a new third-party appraisal. After several deadline extensions, both parties reached an agreement on January 7th, leading to a dismissal with prejudice.

While the final valuation remains undisclosed, Zync has already rebranded as Round Hill Music Sync on LinkedIn, though its website maintains the original branding. Separately, Round Hill remains involved in an ongoing contract dispute with rapper B.o.B, which includes recent counterclaims from the artist.
