NewJeans Issues 14-Day Ultimatum to Ador: Demands Ex-CEO Min's Return and Accountability
In a significant development in the K-pop industry, girl group NewJeans has issued a formal ultimatum to Ador, demanding the reinstatement of ousted CEO Min Hee-jin within 14 days.

The ultimatum, delivered via certified letter, threatens contract termination unless several key demands are met:
- Reinstatement of former CEO Min Hee-jin
- Information regarding critical remarks about members in a leaked document
- An apology from a Hybe act's manager regarding alleged comments about member Hanni
The conflict stems from Min's earlier dispute with Hybe over alleged image similarities between NewJeans and Belift Lab's Illit. Despite her departure, Min continues legal proceedings against Hybe for alleged contractual violations.
Ador has acknowledged receiving the letter, stating: "We are currently reviewing it to understand the specific requests. We will do our best to resolve the matter wisely and ensure continued partnership with the artist."
NewJeans, which currently has nearly 16 million monthly Spotify listeners, continues to fulfill their performance obligations while awaiting Hybe's response.
This situation highlights growing tensions in the K-pop industry between management companies and artists, with potential implications for other acts in the space. The outcome of this dispute could set precedents for future artist-management relationships in the K-pop industry.
