Neil Young has announced he will no longer offer Platinum tickets for his upcoming tours, criticizing Ticketmaster's dynamic pricing as exploitation of music fans. Young was inspired by Robert Smith's efforts to keep The Cure's ticket prices affordable during their 2023 tour.

"Dynamic pricing is the story of the bad thing that has happened to concerts world-wide," Young stated on his Neil Young Archives site. While acknowledging that the premium pricing strategy directed more revenue to artists instead of scalpers, Young concluded, "The money went to me. That did not feel right."

Young explained that fans will now have two options: purchase tickets early at regular prices or pay higher rates on the secondary market. This decision comes as he prepares for his Love Earth Tour 2025, which includes dates across Europe and North America.
