Lizzo's Legal Team Fights to Dismiss Ex-Designer's Harassment Lawsuit, Claims Allegations Lack Merit
Lizzo's legal team has filed a motion to dismiss a harassment and discrimination lawsuit from former employee Asha Daniels, who served as a clothing designer on the singer's tour. The lawsuit, filed in September in Los Angeles court, alleges that Lizzo and her team fostered a "racist and sexualized" work environment.

Daniels claims she witnessed harassment and bullying of dancers, background vocalists, and local team members, contradicting Lizzo's public message of self-love and empowerment. However, Lizzo's attorneys contend that Daniels failed to perform her assigned duties and was terminated after missing work for the Paris show.
The legal team argues the lawsuit should be dismissed because:
- It was filed in the wrong jurisdiction
- Daniels is a New York resident who worked for a Delaware corporation in Europe
- The allegations have "no nexus to California"
Ron Zambrano, Daniels' attorney, dismisses the motion as an attempt to "shift blame to the victims" and notes this case follows similar allegations from three former dancers who filed a separate lawsuit in August. The dancers' lawsuit alleges sexual, racial, and religious harassment during their time on tour.

Zambrano maintains that Lizzo, as the boss, is responsible for the alleged "sexualized and racially charged environment" on her tours. Lizzo has denied all allegations on social media, while the legal proceedings continue to develop.
