The lawsuit, filed in the U.S. District Court's Central District of California, alleges that 37 defendants violated state and federal laws by not disclosing their relationships with Yuga Labs before promoting the NFT collection.

According to the 100-page filing, talent manager Guy Oseary, who represents Madonna and Yuga Labs, allegedly orchestrated a scheme using MoonPay as a front to secretly compensate celebrities for promoting BAYC NFTs. The lawsuit claims MoonPay's white-glove service was used to mask payments from Yuga Labs to various promoters.

Yuga Labs has denied these allegations, stating they are "opportunistic and parasitic" and "without merit." The case number is 2:22-cv-08909.
