Attorney Tony Buzbee Exits Diddy Lawsuits After Jay-Z Files Grievance
Texas attorney Tony Buzbee has withdrawn from 14 lawsuits against Sean 'Diddy' Combs in New York federal court due to admission issues and complications involving Jay-Z.

Buzbee, who filed for admission to practice in the Southern District of New York (SDNY) on January 29, was denied by the Committee on Grievances for appearing in cases without proper admission. U.S. District Judge Ronnie Abrams cited this as a violation of local court rules.
Despite being in good standing with the New York State Bar, Texas State Bar, and Eastern District of New York, Buzbee attributes his withdrawal to a grievance filed by Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) that he claims was an attempt to prevent his SDNY admission.
In his defense, Buzbee explained that he electronically signed pleadings alongside admitted local counsel who actually filed all documents. He acknowledges this as an "error in judgment" for not informing judges about his admission status.
The unnamed Plaintiff will continue to be represented by the New York law firm co-handling the case. Diddy's legal team stated they've never opposed pro hac vice applications but argue Buzbee's "egregious misconduct" justifies denying him court privileges.

This development follows a recent withdrawal of another sexual assault lawsuit by one of Buzbee's clients last month.
