Gwyneth Paltrow has publicly questioned the accuracy of her Spotify Wrapped results for 2024, adding to growing skepticism about the streaming platform's data reporting.

During a Q&A session with her lifestyle brand Goop, Paltrow specifically challenged the placement of João Gilberto as her top artist. "I listened to João Gilberto at dinner parties, but it has him as my number one artist, and that's impossible because I had it on a couple of times, but not enough to warrant that spot," she told Yahoo News.

This controversy joins wider discussions about Spotify's data accuracy, with users worldwide questioning their personalized year-end results. Many have reported unexpected appearances of artists like Taylor Swift and Sabrina Carpenter in their top lists, leading to speculation about artificial inflation of certain artists' popularity.

Despite these concerns, Spotify's global rankings show Taylor Swift maintaining the #1 position both in the UK and worldwide. Other top performers include:

  • The Weeknd
  • Billie Eilish
  • Drake
  • Ariana Grande
  • Bad Bunny

In the UK market, British bands dominated the charts, with Arctic Monkeys, Oasis, The Smiths, Radiohead, and Gorillaz securing top positions.

Numerous artists, including Billie Eilish, Usher, Sabrina Carpenter, and Mariah Carey, recorded thank-you messages for fans who featured them in their Spotify Wrapped playlists.
