Karol G will release an intimate documentary about her life and career journey on Netflix in 2025, as announced through her personal Instagram account. The project will be directed by Emmy-winning filmmaker Cristina Constantini.

The documentary will be produced by This Machine (a Sony Pictures Television subsidiary), Bichota Films, and Interscope Films, with Interscope CEO John Janick and Executive VP Nir Seroussi serving as executive producers.

The film promises to reveal the woman behind the global music icon, offering unprecedented access to her personal life and professional journey. In her announcement, Karol G shared a handwritten note describing the documentary as "a story born from dreams that seemed impossible, fueled by unwavering faith."

The timing coincides with Karol G's remarkable achievements in the music industry, including:

• Making history with "Mañana Será Bonito" as the first Spanish-language album by a female artist to top the Billboard 200
• Completing a record-breaking world tour grossing over $313 million, the highest-grossing Latin tour by a female artist
• Becoming the first Latin female artist to headline Lollapalooza in Chicago

The documentary will showcase her rise to fame since her 2016 breakthrough and her ongoing impact on the reggaeton genre.
