Lil Wayne's sports management venture, Young Money Sports, has secured a major win by signing Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter for NFL representation. Hunter, projected as a top-five pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, chose Young Money APAA Sports over established agencies like WME, CAA, Klutch Sports Group, and Athletes First.

The agency's growing roster includes notable athletes like Duke quarterback Darian Mensah, who recently secured an $8 million NIL deal after transferring from Tulane, and Jehiem Oatis. Young Money APAA Sports currently operates across multiple sports divisions including NFL, NBA, soccer, and college sports.

During his Heisman Trophy acceptance speech, Hunter revealed his connection to Lil Wayne through his fiancée, who introduced him to the rapper's music. Hunter now exclusively listens to Wayne's music during his pregame preparations, even performing an impromptu rendition of "6 Foot 7 Foot" from Tha Carter IV during the ceremony.

While Young Money Sports will handle Hunter's on-field representation, SMAC Entertainment will continue managing his off-field interests. SMAC has already secured several significant NIL deals for Hunter during his time at Colorado, including a long-term partnership with Adidas that will extend into his professional career.

This signing represents a significant milestone for Young Money Sports, demonstrating its growing influence in the professional sports management industry.
