Lee Soo-man, founder of SM Entertainment, has launched A2O Entertainment, a new global artist development platform focusing on young talent development.

The agency operates under unique constraints, as Lee cannot participate in entertainment activities in Korea for three years due to his agreement with Hybe following the SM Entertainment sale.

A2O Entertainment's key features:

  • Four talent categories divided by age and gender:
    • Low teen boys (15 and under)
    • High teen boys (16 and up)
    • Low teen girls (15 and under)
    • High teen girls (16 and up)

The agency's current roster primarily consists of Chinese-born talents, with one Japanese member. The youngest performer is 12 years old, highlighting A2O's long-term development strategy.

A2O has established a strong digital presence across Asian platforms, including:

  • Weibo
  • Bilibili
  • Douyin

The company's "CAWMAN" initiative represents their content strategy across multiple formats:

  • Cartoon
  • Animation
  • Webtoon
  • Motion Picture
  • Avatar
  • Novel

This launch follows recent global K-pop expansion efforts, including Geffen and Hybe's girl group Katseye, and Titan Content's ongoing group formation led by former SM CEO Nikki Semin Han.
