Recorded in Lisbon, Portugal, the concert showcases a unique blend of digital animation, moving curtains, and modern lanterna magica, transforming 19th-century theatre techniques into stunning 21st-century VR visuals. The setlist celebrates Björk's lifetime of creative innovation, with all performances available in spatial audio exclusively on Apple Music.
The film, executive produced by Talkhouse in partnership with Level Forward and Snowstorm Productions, marks their latest collaboration with the Icelandic artist. Talkhouse President Ian Wheeler describes it as "an unparalleled achievement" and the first of many upcoming film projects.
Fans can also tune in to Apple Music 1 on January 23 at 10am PT/1pm ET for Björk's first on-camera interview in a decade with Zane Lowe. The conversation will explore her creative process, the climate-focused "Cornucopia" film, her use of technology in music creation, and her collaboration with Sir David Attenborough.
Following the premiere, viewers can stream the performance on-demand through Apple Music, along with access to all live-recorded tracks from the show.
