The sale is part of Salem's larger $160 million debt reduction strategy, which includes selling all seven of its remaining Christian music stations. The Fish has been broadcasting contemporary Christian music in Atlanta for 24 years.

Hosts Kevin Avery and Taylor Scott announced their final broadcast will be January 31st, expressing gratitude for their time providing "Good, Clean, Fun" to Atlanta listeners.

Salem CEO David Santrella explained this strategic exit from the contemporary Christian music format will significantly improve the company's balance sheet and capital structure. The deal also brings in a new strategic investor expected to enhance Salem's digital media capabilities.

EMF, which owns K-LOVE and Air1 networks with over 1,000 signals nationwide, was praised by Salem co-founder Edward G. Atsinger for their dedication to high-quality Christian music programming. The acquisition aligns with EMF's position as one of the largest Christian music broadcasters in the United States.
