Rapper Young Thug has pleaded guilty to multiple charges, including gang, drug, and gun-related offenses, after spending two and a half years in jail. The 33-year-old artist, whose real name is Jeffery Williams, entered his pleas without a prosecution deal.

The sentence includes:

  • 40-year total sentence
  • First 5 years commuted to time served
  • 15 years probation
  • Additional 20 years that could be commuted if probation terms are met

Key probation conditions:

  • Must stay away from metro Atlanta for first 10 years (except for family events)
  • Required to make quarterly anti-gang presentations at schools
  • 100 hours of annual community service
  • Random drug screening
  • No gun possession
  • No association with gang members or case defendants (except his brother and Gunna)

The case stems from a massive indictment charging Young Thug and over two dozen others with violating Georgia's anti-racketeering law. Three co-defendants pleaded guilty this week, while nine others accepted plea deals before the trial began.

Defense attorney Brian Steel noted they were "vehemently disagreed" with many prosecution statements and opposed the use of Young Thug's lyrics as evidence. However, the rapper chose to accept the plea to avoid further jail time, citing concerns for his children.
