UPROXX and will.i.am Partner for Pre-Grammy 'LA Check-In' Event Supporting Fire Relief
UPROXX and will.i.am's FYI are joining forces to host the 'LA Check-In' on Friday, January 31, from 8 PM to midnight PST at will.i.am's FYI Campus in Hollywood. This pre-Grammy event aims to support LA's music community and fire relief efforts.

The event will feature performances by Coast Contra and appearances from notable artists including DJ Drama, DJ Hed, and Samantha Ronson. Attendees can enjoy a premium open bar and live DJ sets throughout the night.
All proceeds will benefit the i.am Angel Foundation's emergency fund, supporting affected families, students, and communities through partnerships with the LAUSD Foundation, Pasadena Educational Foundation, and Core Foundations.
Coinciding with this event, UPROXX has launched its 7th Annual Music Critics Poll, featuring input from nearly 300 music critics. The poll has expanded to include:
- Top 50 Albums
- Top 20 Songs
- Top 20 Music Videos (New)
- Top 20 Album Covers (New)
The poll represents a comprehensive analysis of 2024's musical landscape, evaluating over 900 albums and 700 songs from various industry perspectives. This initiative follows UPROXX's successful Sound+Vision Awards, which celebrated creative direction in music.
