The event, launched on February 25, aims to drive the globalization and sustainable growth of the Japanese music industry. The world-class J-pop concert featured performances by Ado, Atarashii Gakko!, and Yoasobi, with a portion of ticket sales supporting LA wildfire recovery through MusiCares.

Prior to the main event, the Matsuri '25: JP Music Industry Mixer was hosted by JETRO Los Angeles. Executive Director Yoshiko Tsuwaki opened the proceedings, followed by CEIPA's presentation of Music Awards Japan (MAJ) by board member Tatsuya Nomura and Executive Director Taro Kumabe.

A key panel discussion on "Music Festivals and Live Events: The Key to Japanese Artists' Success in the International Market," moderated by Ryan J. Downey, explored how Japanese artists are breaking into the global music scene. Ellen Lu, VP of Regional Festivals at Goldenvoice, highlighted that Japanese musicians' willingness to collaborate with anime and gaming industries provides them unique advantages in reaching diverse audiences.

The success of Matsuri '25 demonstrates the strong potential for Japanese artists in the international market and CEIPA's commitment to fostering global cultural exchange through music.
