T-Pain's hometown of Tallahassee honored the Grammy-winning artist with a street naming dedication, key to the city, and a sold-out concert celebration.
T-Pain receives key to Tallahassee
The city renamed a portion of Pasco Street to 'T-Pain Lane' - the same street he walked daily from Nims Middle School to Walker Ford Community Center as a child. T-Pain has since given back to the community center by funding a music studio and other resources.
Mayor John Dailey presented T-Pain with a key to the city, recognizing his significant cultural impact and role in putting Tallahassee on the map. "He's had a tremendous impact on the kids of Tallahassee, and he's a great role model and a great example," Dailey remarked during the ceremony.
The celebration concluded with a sold-out performance at The Adderley Amphitheater in Cascades Park, organized by Visit Tallahassee. The rapper performed his greatest hits, including "The Good Life" and "Bartender," expressing gratitude to his hometown: "Everything that went on today was just a dream come true."
T-Pain continues his successful year with upcoming performances as the headliner for the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade and iHeartRadio's Jingle Balls in Los Angeles, Miami, and Atlanta.
