SZA candidly discusses her complex relationship with fame in a recent Extra interview alongside Issa Rae and Keke Palmer, revealing that stardom still feels unfamiliar despite her decade-long career in music.

The four-time Grammy winner explains that unlike some of her peers who seem naturally comfortable with public attention, she struggles with constant scrutiny. "I don't really know what is happening. I don't know what the hell is going on," she admits, noting her transition from a suburban upbringing and regular jobs to sudden stardom.
SZA particularly takes issue with the common assumption that she knew what she was getting into: "They'll be like, 'That's what you signed up for,' and then I'm like, 'I didn't even know what I was signing up for, actually. I just made a couple songs, and I was grateful that they were liked, and then I kept going.'"
Despite her complicated feelings about fame, SZA's career continues to flourish. Her latest release, SOS Deluxe: Lana, dropped on December 20, following the remarkable success of SOS, which dominated the Billboard 200 chart for multiple weeks. The album recently reclaimed the No. 1 spot after 22 months, driven by excitement surrounding the deluxe edition.
Looking ahead, the artist has expressed interest in exploring new creative territories, including plans to produce two children's albums.
