Snowflake Hackers Face Prison After Major Data Breach at Ticketmaster, AT&T
Two hackers have been indicted for orchestrating a massive cybersecurity breach affecting 165 corporations, including Ticketmaster and AT&T, through the "Snowflake" attack. Connor Moucka and John Binns face multiple cybercrime charges for their activities between November 2023 and October 2024.

The hackers gained unauthorized access to billions of sensitive customer records, including:
- Call and text history records
- Banking and financial information
- Payroll records
- DEA registration numbers
- Driver's license numbers
- Passport numbers
- Social Security numbers
- Other personal identifiable information
Between April and May 2024, the duo specifically targeted Ticketmaster's cloud computing systems, later attempting to sell stolen data of hundreds of millions of customers on cybercriminal forums. They also tried to extort Ticketmaster for ransom between May and July 2024.
Moucka was arrested in Canada in October 2024, while Binns operated from Turkey during the attacks. The charges they face include:
- Wire fraud
- Securities fraud
- Conspiracy to commit fraud
- Unauthorized computer access
- Data theft
- Privacy violations
If convicted, they could face up to 60 years in prison, with individual charges carrying 5-25 year sentences.
