A second Jane Doe accuser in the sexual assault case against Sean "Diddy" Combs faces potential identity disclosure following a recent federal court development.

United States District Judge Vernon S. Broderick has temporarily allowed the accuser to maintain anonymity, pending any objections from the defense. This decision comes after another federal judge required the first Jane Doe to reveal her identity by November 13.

Judge Broderick explained that maintaining anonymity requires balancing the plaintiff's privacy interests against public disclosure needs and potential defendant prejudice. The plaintiff argues that revealing her identity could:

  • Force her to relive trauma
  • Subject her to unwanted media attention
  • Expose her to potential retaliation

The defense has 21 days after being served to file any objections to the anonymity request. The plaintiff must indicate within seven days of the defendants' appearance whether she will maintain or modify her motion.

These cases are among dozens of similar lawsuits filed against Combs since his September arrest on sex trafficking and racketeering charges. Attorney Tony Buzbee, representing both Jane Does, has indicated that over 120 additional lawsuits may be filed in the coming weeks.
