The Broward County Sheriff's Office reports that between October and March, Kingston and Turner allegedly stole:
- Nearly $500,000 in jewelry
- Over $200,000 from Bank of America
- More than $100,000 from First Republic Bank
- $160,000 from a Cadillac dealer
- $86,000 from a customized bed maker
Kingston, 34, was arrested in California on May 23 and subsequently extradited to Florida. His mother was arrested the same day when SWAT teams raided Kingston's rented Fort Lauderdale mansion. Both face charges of conducting a scheme to defraud, identity theft, and grand theft.
This isn't the first legal trouble for either party. Kingston is currently serving a two-year probation for trafficking stolen property. Turner previously served 18 months in prison after pleading guilty to bank fraud involving $160,000 in 2006.
Their attorney, Robert Rosenblatt, states they "are confident of a successful resolution" and will address the charges in Florida court.
Kingston, whose real name is Kisean Anderson, is known for his 2007 hit "Beautiful Girls" and his collaboration with Justin Bieber on "Eenie Meenie."
