The band owns rights to their 13 studio albums and additional releases through Warner Music Group (WMG), though ownership of their first four EMI-released albums remains unconfirmed. Their discography spans from their 1984 self-titled debut to their latest releases, "Unlimited Love" and "Return of the Dream Canteen" (both 2022).

Eric Greenspan, who previously orchestrated the band's $140-150 million publishing rights sale to Hipgnosis in 2021, is leading the negotiations. Industry experts suggest the final sale price may land between $325-340 million. Combined with their previous publishing deal, the band's complete musical assets could reach approximately $500 million in total value.

Billboard estimates the catalog generates around $26 million in annual revenue, with a net label share of approximately $20 million after expenses. The exact scope of recorded assets being offered to potential buyers remains unclear.
