The initiative brings together Melody Campbell, founder of The Sound Bank and creator of the UK's first pay-as-you-go recording studio, with Quality Control Music's marketing manager Mr. Too Official. Quality Control is the renowned US label behind successful artists like City Girls, Migos, and Lil Baby.
Key Competition Details:
- Talent scouts located in London, Manchester, Leeds, Birmingham, Wales, and Margate
- Top 15 acts will perform in finals at The Sound Bank's music seminar (September 14-15, Waterloo)
- Judging panel includes two Quality Control executives
- Event will be livestreamed by Mimi the Music Blogger
The winner's prize package includes:
- Exclusive management deal
- Studio session at The Sound Bank with a top London producer
- Mentorship from Mr. Too Official
- All-expenses-paid promotional trip to Atlanta
- Recording opportunity with Quality Control
"There just really seemed to be a lack of platforms and alternatives that could propel someone's music career on a similar scale, and that's what we are trying to create here," says Melody Campbell, emphasizing the competition's focus on genuine talent development rather than entertainment value.
This collaboration aims to bridge the gap between UK talent and international success, leveraging Quality Control's industry expertise and The Sound Bank's local music infrastructure to create meaningful opportunities for emerging artists.
