Offset has announced an upcoming performance in Moscow, Russia on April 18, despite his label Universal Music Group's (UMG) ongoing boycott of the country following the Ukraine invasion.

The show, announced via Offset's Instagram, marks a notable departure from UMG's position, as the company suspended all Russian operations and closed its offices there in response to the invasion. Other major music companies including Sony Music, Warner Music, and Live Nation also withdrew from the Russian market.

A dedicated website for the Moscow concert describes Offset as "a showman who turns a concert into a theatrical performance." Ticket prices range from 5,000 to 45,000 Russian rubles (approximately $55-$490 USD). The show is not listed on Motown Records' official website, and the label has not confirmed the performance.

This follows fellow rapper DaBaby's recent Moscow performance on February 28, where he was welcomed by local musicians performing the traditional folk song "Valenki."

Performers in Russia must exercise caution regarding local laws. For context, WNBA star Brittney Griner spent 10 months in Russian detention for possessing cannabis oil cartridges, as cannabis is illegal in the country.

The announcement comes amid other developments in Offset's career, including his recent single "Ten" released through Capitol Records on February 14, and ongoing divorce proceedings with Cardi B, where he's seeking joint custody of their three children.

Representatives for Offset, Universal, and Independent Artist Group have not responded to requests for comment.
