The Vision Pro experience features three iconic songs: "Whiplash," "One," and "Enter Sandman." Apple used 14 immersive video cameras on a custom stage layout, combining stabilized, cable-suspended, and remote-controlled dolly systems to create an unprecedented viewing experience.

The accompanying EP, "M72 World Tour: Mexico City," will be available exclusively on Apple Music with spatial audio support. The release coincides with the Vision Pro experience launch.

Lars Ulrich, Metallica's drummer, described the project as "game-changing" during a SXSW conversation with Apple Music's Zane Lowe. Apple marketing executive Tor Myhren emphasized how the technology allows fans to experience the concert from multiple perspectives, including front row, backstage, and on-stage views.

Additionally, Apple announced that "Bono: Stories of Surrender" will premiere on May 30th on both Apple TV+ and Vision Pro, marking the first feature-length film available in Apple Immersive Video.

The Vision Pro, priced at $3,500, represents Apple's latest venture into immersive entertainment, following recent releases like Raye's "Concert for One" and Synth Riders' Kendrick Lamar experience.
