Ticketmaster faces a major security breach reportedly affecting 560 million customers, with hackers claiming to have accessed 1.3 terabytes of sensitive personal data. The hacker group ShinyHunters claims responsibility for the breach and is attempting to sell the stolen information for $500,000.

The compromised data allegedly includes:

  • Full customer details (names, addresses, emails, phone numbers)
  • Order information
  • Payment details (including partial credit card numbers and expiration dates)

ShinyHunters, which reportedly owns Breach Forums, has contacted Ticketmaster regarding the breach. As of now, neither Ticketmaster nor parent company Live Nation has issued an official statement addressing these claims.

This security incident comes at a challenging time for Live Nation, which is currently:

  • Defending against a Department of Justice antitrust suit
  • Facing a multibillion-dollar class action lawsuit
  • Managing ongoing criticism from the Eras Tour pre-sale issues

The breach has already triggered customer concerns on social media, adding to recent security issues in the ticketing industry. Last month, Lloyds Bank reported that Taylor Swift fans in the UK lost approximately $1.2 million to ticket scams related to her upcoming concerts.
