Massive $515M Powerball Jackpot Winner Found at Anaheim 7-Eleven Store
A winning Powerball ticket worth $515 million was sold at a 7-Eleven store located at 763 North Euclid Street in Anaheim, California on Saturday, March 29. The ticket matched all six winning numbers: 7, 11, 21, 53, 61, and Powerball 2.
The winner, who has yet to come forward, can choose between annual payments for the full jackpot amount or a one-time lump sum of approximately $245 million after federal taxes. California law requires lottery winners to be publicly identified.
The 7-Eleven store that sold the winning ticket will receive a $1 million bonus from the California Lottery. Another ticket sold in California matched five numbers without the Powerball, winning $279,863.
This jackpot win ends a streak of 29 consecutive drawings without a winner, dating back to January 8 when Fernando Cervantes Jr. of Oregon claimed a $328.5 million prize.
Powerball drawings occur three times weekly (Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday) at 7:59 p.m. Pacific Time, with tickets costing $2 per play. The next drawing on Monday, March 31, will start with a reset jackpot of $20 million.
A portion of all ticket sales supports public education programs throughout California, as mandated by the state lottery commission.
Those who recently purchased tickets at the Anaheim 7-Eleven location should check their numbers immediately, as they might be holding the winning ticket.
