Grainge, a 15-year Pacific Palisades resident, has cancelled his European business meetings to remain in Los Angeles and coordinate support efforts for affected employees. He has assembled a team including Jody Gerson, Eric Hutcherson, John Janick, Monte Lipman, Boyd Muir, and Will Tanous to manage relief initiatives.
The situation remains critical, with:
- 24 confirmed deaths
- Dozens still missing
- 92,000 people under evacuation orders
- 89,000 additional people under evacuation warnings
- Approximately 60 square miles burned across the Palisades, Eaton, and Hurst fires
Cal Fire has warned that the entire region from Ventura to San Diego should prepare for possible evacuation orders. UMG's operational base in Santa Monica is partially under evacuation orders, adding to the company's challenges during this crisis.
Despite these circumstances, Grainge emphasized the importance of maintaining business operations, stating in his letter, "We must continue to work together to deliver for our artists and songwriters around the world. Let's not forget—we are strong, we will continue to be brave, and as always, we will march on together!"
