The 67th Annual Grammy Awards' status remains uncertain as Los Angeles battles devastating wildfires. Originally scheduled for February 2 at the Crypto.com Arena, the event may face postponement due to ongoing fire emergencies in the area.

Industry insiders suggest the ceremony will likely be postponed, with Recording Academy head Harvey Mason Jr. currently evaluating multiple scenarios. The event might transform into a fundraiser to support affected communities.

Several benefit concerts are already in planning stages:

  • A pre-Grammy event involving MusiCares, the Grammy foundation
  • A January 30 concert at the Intuit Dome, organized by Live Nation, the Azoff family, and AEG Presents

This wouldn't be unprecedented - the Grammys were previously postponed twice due to COVID-19:

  • 2021: Moved from January to March
  • 2022: Delayed to April due to Omicron variant

The current wildfire crisis, which began Tuesday in Pacific Palisades, has spread to Malibu and Santa Monica. Multiple fires, including the Eaton, Hurst, and Kenneth fires, have claimed 24 lives and destroyed thousands of homes. First responders continue battling blazes across Los Angeles County.
