Jim Jones: Drake's Legal Action Against UMG and Spotify Is a 'Power Move' - Won't Affect Street Cred
Rapper Jim Jones has voiced support for Drake's legal petitions against Universal Music Group (UMG) and Spotify, describing them as strategic "power moves" that won't diminish Drake's credibility.
Speaking on Respectfully: The Justin Laboy Show, Jones emphasized that Drake's legal actions are purely business-focused and shouldn't be conflated with street authenticity. "Him doing that with business is no reflection of the streets," Jones stated, noting that Drake isn't typically associated with street culture.

Jones drew parallels between Drake's petitions and other corporate lawsuits, stating, "People win lawsuits all the time against companies and nobody hold that against them. Is it any different than him suing Walmart?"
The petitions in question, filed by Drake in November, allege that UMG and Spotify artificially inflated the success of Kendrick Lamar's diss track "Not Like Us" through bots and payola schemes. Drake also accused UMG of defamation for allowing Lamar to release lyrics calling him a "certified pedophile."
