Jay-Z and Diddy Named in Lawsuit Over Alleged Sexual Assault of Minor in 2000
A woman has amended her lawsuit against Sean 'Diddy' Combs to include allegations that Jay-Z (Shawn Carter) sexually assaulted her at a VMAs afterparty in 2000 when she was 13 years old.

The anonymous plaintiff (Jane Doe) claims she became dizzy after consuming a drink at the party and entered a bedroom where both Carter and Combs allegedly assaulted her. According to the lawsuit, she managed to escape by hitting Combs and running away.
Prior to the amendment, Carter was referred to as "Celebrity A" in the original filing. The plaintiff's attorneys attempted to reach a mediation agreement with Carter before naming him in the lawsuit.
Carter strongly denies the allegations, calling them "heinous in nature" and a "blackmail attempt" in a statement to CNN. He expressed concern about having to explain these allegations to his children, particularly noting the impact on his daughter whose friends might see the press coverage.
The lawsuit claims Carter responded to the mediation request by filing what it describes as a "frivolous lawsuit" and orchestrating harassment against the plaintiff's legal team. Tony Buzbee, the attorney representing Jane Doe, faces separate allegations of attempted extortion from an anonymous male celebrity, which he denies.
These allegations emerge while Combs faces separate federal indictments for sex trafficking, racketeering, and prostitution charges, for which he remains in custody.
