Jack White, along with ex-wife and former bandmate Meg White, has filed a lawsuit against Donald Trump's campaign for unauthorized use of "Seven Nation Army" in social media videos. The lawsuit, filed in New York federal court, seeks a jury trial.

The White Stripes members explicitly state their opposition to Trump's policies and actions during his presidency and his proposed plans for a potential second term. The legal action was triggered by a video posted by Trump campaign's deputy director of communications, Margo Martin, showing Trump boarding a plane with "Seven Nation Army" playing in the background.

Prior to filing the lawsuit, White warned on Instagram: "Oh, don't even think about using my music, you fascists," addressing Martin directly and mentioning his lawyers' impending action.

White joins numerous other musicians who have opposed Trump's use of their music, including Abba, Celine Dion, and Foo Fighters. Many artists have united through the Artist Rights Alliance, signing an open letter urging political parties to implement policies requiring campaign consent for music usage. Signatories include Aerosmith, Elton John, The Rolling Stones, R.E.M., Pearl Jam, Green Day, Blondie, Elvis Costello, and many others.

The lawsuit represents a growing trend of musicians actively protecting their intellectual property rights against unauthorized political use, particularly in campaign contexts.
