The Philippines and Vietnam are experiencing their first official, industry-backed charts. In the Philippines' inaugural weekly chart, Dionela topped the rankings with "Marilag," while Vietnamese artist Dương Domic claimed the number one spot in Vietnam with "Mất Kết Nối." Notably, eight of Vietnam's top ten tracks were by local artists, demonstrating strong domestic market presence.

The charts for Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, and Thailand will undergo rebranding as official charts. All six markets will feature weekly top 20 tracks, incorporating both local and international artists on a unified platform.

The charts integrate streaming data from major platforms including:

  • Apple Music
  • Deezer
  • Spotify
  • YouTube
  • Regional services like Langit Musik

IFPI manages these charts in collaboration with national industry bodies:

  • ASIRI (Indonesia)
  • RIM (Malaysia)
  • RIAS (Singapore)
  • TECA (Thailand)

BMAT prepares the data following IFPI's global charts principles and methodologies, ensuring consistent standards across all markets.

Shridhar Subramaniam, President of Asia and Middle East at Sony Music Entertainment and Chairman of the IFPI Asia Regional Executive Board, emphasizes that this initiative will serve as a launchpad for regional artists while providing fans with a comprehensive view of Southeast Asia's musical landscape.
