Guitar Center Steps Up: Free Instrument Replacement for LA Wildfire-Affected Musicians and Schools

Guitar Center is stepping up to help Los Angeles musicians and music education programs affected by recent wildfires by offering to replace destroyed instruments and gear. Applications are being accepted through the Guitar Center Music Foundation until February 28, 2025.

Eligible music programs must fall into one of these categories:

  • In-school music classes with active student participation
  • After-school music programs (non-school operated)
  • Community music programs offering instruction
  • Music therapy programs with active participation

Additional Support Available:

  • The Recording Academy's MusiCares is offering:
    • $1,500 in financial relief
    • $500 grocery card
    • Instrument replacement and repair assistance

Other Organizations Providing Relief:

  • Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation: Emergency funds for theatrical distribution community
  • Dramatists Guild Foundation: Grants for composers, lyrists, and playwrights
  • Motion Picture and Television Fund: Financial aid and social services for entertainment community members
  • NAMM Foundation: LA Wildfire Relief fund with $50,000 initial contribution

The Los Angeles wildfires have displaced over 150,000 people, prompting numerous companies and nonprofits to provide essential resources for victims.
