Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr. announced the ceremony will continue "in close coordination with local authorities to ensure public safety." This year's show will have an additional focus on raising funds for wildfire relief efforts and honoring first responders.

The Recording Academy and MusiCares have already launched the Los Angeles Fire Relief Effort with an initial $1 million donation, which has grown to over $2 million in emergency aid distributed to affected music professionals.

Currently, approximately 92,000 people remain under evacuation orders, with another 89,000 in areas under evacuation warnings. The death toll from the fires has reached at least 25 people.

Universal Music Group has cancelled all Grammy-related events, including their artist showcase and afterparty. UMG will redirect these resources to wildfire relief efforts, stating: "We are committed to helping and supporting the music community, our artists, our teams, and the people of Los Angeles get through this horrific episode."
