Speaking at a charity event for his AIDS Foundation in London, John admitted, "I have lost my sight and I haven't been able to see the performance, but I have enjoyed listening to it." His husband, David Furnish, has been supporting him through this challenging period.

In a recent interview with ABC News' Robin Roberts, John detailed the extent of his condition:

  • Complete loss of vision in his right eye since July due to infection
  • Compromised vision in his left eye
  • Unable to read lyrics or watch performances
  • Studio recording and new album plans temporarily suspended

Despite these challenges, the artist remains hopeful for recovery. Meanwhile, fans can look forward to "Elton John: Never Too Late," a new documentary chronicling his life and career, premiering on Disney+ on December 13. The film, directed by R.J. Cutler and David Furnish, features iconic concert footage and personal reflections on his journey through the music industry.
