Fortnite has achieved a new in-game attendance record with over 14 million concurrent players during its Remix: The Finale event, featuring performances by Snoop Dogg, Eminem, and Ice Spice.

The 12-minute virtual concert, which included a tribute to Juice WRLD, attracted an additional 3 million viewers through live streaming. The event aired at 2 PM ET with an encore at 8 PM, and has since garnered millions more views across social media platforms.
Prior to the main event, Snoop Dogg and Ice Spice performed a live Fortnite-themed show called Remix: The Prelude in Times Square. This kicked off Fortnite Battle Royale's Chapter 2 Remix, featuring themed items, areas, and weekly music releases throughout November.
The record-breaking attendance demonstrates Fortnite's significant promotional potential, particularly in connecting established artists with younger audiences. The platform censored explicit content, including profanity and references to substances in songs like Snoop Dogg's "Drop It Like It's Hot."
This success follows a broader trend of gaming platforms becoming music promotion venues. Recently, Minecraft introduced licensed major label radio stations, while platforms like TikTok continue expanding their artist-specific promotional efforts. Even established acts like Coldplay are leveraging these digital communities for marketing their releases.
