Bad Boy Entertainment co-founder Kirk Burrowes has filed a lawsuit alleging he was forcibly coerced into giving up his 25% stake in the company to Diddy's mother, Janice Smalls, in 1996.

According to the lawsuit, Diddy threatened Burrowes with a baseball bat in his New York City office, forcing him to sign over his shares while "fearing for his life, with tears streaming down his face." The incident allegedly involved Bad Boy attorney Kenneth Meiselas and was orchestrated under Smalls' direction.

Burrowes, who invested $100,000 in BBE's launch and was once Diddy's close friend and godfather to his eldest son Justin, claims he has since become homeless due to being blacklisted from the music industry. The lawsuit states that Smalls "engaged in a decades-long scheme of intimidation, violence, fraudulent misrepresentation, and financial concealment."

The 62-year-old former executive is seeking:

  • Reinstatement of his 25% ownership stake
  • Damages for financial losses
  • Annual share payments
  • A forensic audit of Bad Boy Entertainment's earnings

"We are confident that the legal process will hold those responsible accountable," said Burrowes' attorney, Tyrone Blackburn. Meanwhile, Diddy remains in Brooklyn's Metropolitan Detention Center awaiting trial on federal charges including sex trafficking and racketeering.
