Diddy's Alleged Drug Courier Case Dismissed After Completing Pretrial Program in Miami
Brendan Paul, previously arrested as an alleged drug mule for Sean 'Diddy' Combs, has had all charges against him dropped after completing a pretrial diversion program. Paul was initially arrested in March at Miami-Opa Locka Executive Airport when authorities discovered narcotics in his luggage.
Injured man arrested as drug courier
The arrest included charges for felony possession of suspected cocaine and possession of suspected marijuana candy. Prosecutors offered Paul, a first-time offender, a plea deal involving the pretrial diversion program.
Paul's name appeared in a civil lawsuit against Diddy filed by producer Rodney 'Lil Rod' Jones, who alleged that Paul:
- Acted as a drug mule for the rapper
- Transported various drugs through TSA in carry-on luggage
- Carried Combs' firearm when they went out
- Procured and managed payments for sex workers
The arrest coincided with federal raids on Diddy's properties in Los Angeles and Miami. Combs was later arrested on September 16 for racketeering and sex trafficking charges. He remains in custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after being denied bail, awaiting his trial in May.
Paul's lawyer confirmed the case dismissal, stating, "Mr. Paul's case was formally dismissed today in its entirety. All charges have been dropped and the case is closed. Mr. Paul is pleased to close this chapter of his life."
