PSC is a rare liver condition causing inflammation and scarring of bile ducts. Engblom has undergone seven ERCP procedures in 18 months, with recent complications including pancreatitis and sepsis. Currently awaiting a compatible liver in Stockholm, his wait time could range from one day to two years.
Despite these challenges, Engblom remains optimistic, stating, "This is not the end; it's the beginning of an upgraded version of myself." His recovery will require a two-year break from touring and lifelong immunosuppressant medication.
While Stefan focuses on recovery, Dada Life's legacy continues through their influential electro house tracks like "Feed the Dada" and "Born to Rage." The duo is also known for their music production tools, including the popular "Sausage Fattener" and "Endless Smile" plugins.
Stefan's openness about his health journey has inspired widespread support from fans and the electronic music community. Though temporarily sidelined, his positive attitude and determination suggest a strong comeback, as he looks forward to returning as "version 2" of himself.
