
Reservoir Media Expands Dance Music Empire with New State Acquisition, Boosting Catalog by 40%
Reservoir Media has acquired UK dance label New State, adding over 13,000 recordings to its catalog and expanding its recorded music portfolio by more than 36%.

The acquisition includes works from prominent artists like Paul Oakenfold, Zero 7, The Beloved, and Dirty Vegas. New State's existing roster will now be marketed and promoted through Reservoir's Chrysalis division, while continuing to sign and release new electronic and dance music under the New State brand.
Tom Parkinson will continue leading New State's operations, maintaining the label's direction while benefiting from Chrysalis Records' global reach. The deal significantly strengthens Reservoir's position in the electronic and dance music sector.
