Concord has acquired a significant portion of Johnny McDaid's song catalog, including his future works, in a worldwide publishing deal. McDaid, known for his work with Snow Patrol and as a prolific songwriter, has created hits for numerous high-profile artists across multiple genres.

The acquisition includes several major hits co-written by McDaid, including Ed Sheeran's "Photograph," "Shivers," and "Bad Habits," as well as BTS' "Permission to Dance." As a songwriter and producer, McDaid has collaborated with notable artists including P!nk, Lewis Capaldi, Keith Urban, Shawn Mendes, Alicia Keys, and Sam Smith.

Originally from Derry, Northern Ireland, McDaid developed his songwriting skills as a street performer in London before leading the band Vega4. He later joined Snow Patrol in 2011, where he contributed as a pianist, guitarist, and backing vocalist.

His extensive catalog features collaborations with diverse artists, from pop stars like Robbie Williams and BTS to rock bands like Thirty Seconds to Mars and Biffy Clyro. McDaid has also worked with singer-songwriters including Birdy, Maisie Peters, and maintains a particularly successful writing partnership with Ed Sheeran.

The deal was facilitated by Reed Smith, LLP for Concord, while McDaid was represented by Michael Poster and Claire Hoffman of Michelman & Robinson, LLP, along with business manager Kevin McCullough and lawyer Willie Ryan.
