Apple Music Classical Now Supports Siri and CarPlay Integration
Apple Music Classical's latest update (version 2.1) introduces Siri and CarPlay integration, marking a significant enhancement to the classical music streaming service. This development comes nearly a year after the app's initial launch in March 2023.

- Full CarPlay integration with access to playlists, library, and recommendations
- Siri voice control support in seven languages (English, Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Dutch)
- Search capabilities for composers, artists, works, and instruments via CarPlay
- Access to over five million classical music tracks at no additional cost for Apple Music subscribers
The app, built on the foundation of Primephonic (acquired by Apple in 2021), maintains specialized classical music features including:
- Advanced search by composer and repertoire
- Detailed classical music metadata display
- Curated classical music playlists
While this update addresses longstanding user requests for CarPlay integration, Apple Music Classical users continue to await native macOS and Apple TV applications. Apple has indicated that support for additional languages will be implemented in future updates.
