Rapper 50 Cent has filed a $5 million lawsuit against celebrity jeweler TraxNYC for unauthorized use of his likeness and trademark infringement. The lawsuit stems from the jeweler's creation and promotion of knock-off chains using 50 Cent's image without permission.

TraxNYC owner Maksud Trax Agadjani posted multiple TikTok videos featuring 50 Cent's images and openly admitted to copying the rapper's style, stating "We just jocked your style." The jeweler even tagged the rapper in social media posts promoting the unauthorized jewelry.

Prior to filing the lawsuit, Curtis Jackson (50 Cent) warned the jeweler via social media about the consequences of these actions. His representative emphasized that Jackson takes unauthorized commercial use of his name and likeness very seriously.

Despite Trax's public plea for forgiveness, 50 Cent remained firm in pursuing legal action. The rapper highlighted how the jeweler copied his custom piece and used his likeness to sell unauthorized replicas.

The lawsuit seeks damages of no less than $5 million, to be determined at trial, for trademark infringement and violation of publicity rights.
