50 Cent Claims Jay-Z Tried Blocking His 2022 Super Bowl Performance, Says Eminem Intervened
50 Cent has reiterated claims that Jay-Z attempted to block his appearance at the 2022 Super Bowl Halftime Show, revealing new details about the situation during a recent interview on "Talk With Flee" with Cam'ron.

The performance in question featured Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Eminem, Kendrick Lamar, and Mary J. Blige, with 50 Cent appearing as a surprise guest. According to 50 Cent, his participation was only secured after Eminem threatened to boycott the show if he wasn't included.
50 Cent explained that Jay-Z's Roc Nation, which has partnered with the NFL since 2019 to organize the Halftime Show, claimed the NFL had issues with his participation. He questioned this reasoning, pointing out his successful business relationship with 11 major league sports teams through his Sire Spirits liquor company.
"I think it's just, our culture's competitive, but I think when it goes past the music itself to blocking things in business, then I don't understand that," 50 Cent stated. He further noted that the situation seemed particularly unusual given that Jay-Z wasn't actively competing for chart positions at the time.
The rapper previously confirmed this account to The Hollywood Reporter, stating, "[Roc Nation] wanted to leave me out of it. They didn't want me there. Eminem wouldn't do it without me. That's how I ended up on the show, because he was not coming if I didn't do it."
