The September 27 performance will be the first-ever concert at Michigan Stadium ("The Big House"), which stands as the largest stadium in the United States and third-largest in the world. The venue will accommodate 107,000 attendees in the main bowl, plus an additional 5,500 on the field.

Bryan expressed his gratitude on Instagram: "You guys just sold out the biggest show in American history. I owe you my life, my humility, and every ounce of effort I have."

The current US concert attendance record is held by George Strait, who drew 110,905 fans at Texas A&M University's Kyle Field last summer. Before that, the Grateful Dead held the record with 107,019 attendees at a New Jersey raceway show in 1977.

Ticket prices for Bryan's historic show ranged from $55 to over $1,000. The performance will feature special guest John Mayer and others, organized in partnership with AEG Presents and the University's athletic department.

Warde Manuel, University of Michigan's Athletic Director, stated: "We have been studying and evaluating what it takes to host a concert at Michigan Stadium for a couple of years, and today marks that next step in the venue with great partners."
